Biography
Conrad Pope is an American composer and orchestrator. He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, where he received the George Chadwick Medal, Princeton University and Munich’s Hochschule für Musik.
Pope has worked extensively as an orchestrator for composers including John Williams, Alexandre Desplat and James Horner on films such as the Star Wars prequels (1999–2005), the Harry Potter series and Troy (2004). As a composer his credits include My Week with Marilyn (2011), for which he adapted a main theme by Desplat, and Tim’s Vermeer (2013).
He received the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers Golden Score Award in 2015 and has held fellowships including the Leonard Bernstein and Fulbright Fellowships.
