Biography
Elizabeth Marvel is an American actress. Born on 27 November 1969 in Los Angeles, California, she trained at the Juilliard School.
She began her career in theatre in the early 1990s and has appeared in numerous stage productions. On television she has played Det. Nancy Parras in The District (2000–2004), Solicitor General Heather Dunbar in House of Cards (2013–2018), President Elizabeth Keane in Homeland (2011–2020) and recurring roles including Rita Calhoun in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Her film credits include Burn After Reading (2008), True Grit (2010), Lincoln (2012), The Bourne Legacy (2012), Gifted (2017) and Disclosure Day (2026) as Sister Maura. She is married to actor Bill Camp.
