Biography
Jeffrey Kurland is an American costume designer. Born in The Bronx, New York, he graduated with a B.A. in design from Northwestern University and began his career designing for the theatre in New York before moving into film.
He collaborated extensively with director Woody Allen, serving as costume designer on 15 films between the late 1970s and mid-1990s. His credits include Radio Days (1987), for which he won a BAFTA Award, and Bullets Over Broadway (1994), which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Costume Design. He has also worked with Steven Soderbergh on Erin Brockovich (2000) and Ocean's Eleven (2001), and with Christopher Nolan on Inception (2010), Dunkirk (2017) and Tenet (2020).
Kurland received the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2017 and has served on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
