Biography

Jill Bilcock is an Australian film editor. She trained at the Swinburne Film and Television School in Melbourne and began her feature film career with Strikebound (1984).

Bilcock is known for her long collaboration with director Baz Luhrmann, editing Strictly Ballroom (1992), Romeo + Juliet (1996) and Moulin Rouge! (2001). She also edited Muriel's Wedding (1994), Elizabeth (1998), Road to Perdition (2002) and The Dressmaker (2015). She has received multiple AFI/AACTA awards for editing, BAFTA nominations for Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge! and Elizabeth, and an Academy Award nomination for Moulin Rouge!.
