Biography
Katharyn Powers was a television writer, producer and story editor. She wrote episodes for series including Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), Stargate SG-1 (1997), Wonder Woman (1975), Airwolf (1984), The Dukes of Hazzard (1979) and Kung Fu (1972). She served as story editor on Falcon Crest, Fantasy Island and The Fitzpatricks, and as executive story consultant on the first season of Stargate SG-1.
Born Lorna Theresa Patton in Los Angeles, California, Powers graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1960 and studied theatre at Santa Monica College. She began her career writing for 1970s series and continued working into the early 2000s. She also contributed to several television movies and worked as associate producer on The Naked Monster (2005).
