Biography
Howard Peter Guber is an American film producer and business executive. He began his career at Columbia Pictures, rising to head of worldwide production, before leaving in 1976 to produce independently. His early credits include executive producer on Midnight Express (1978).
In 1982 Guber formed the Guber-Peters Entertainment Company with Jon Peters. The partnership produced Rain Man (1988) and Batman (1989), on which Guber is credited as producer. Their films and executive productions have grossed over three billion dollars worldwide and received more than fifty Academy Award nominations. Guber later served as chairman and CEO of Mandalay Entertainment.
