Biography
Robert Wiemer (30 January 1938 – 21 August 2014) was an American film and television director, writer, producer and editor.
He directed eight episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation between 1989 and 1994, including 'Data's Day' and 'Parallels', and the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode 'Profit and Loss' (1994). Earlier credits include directing, writing and producing the television films Somewhere, Tomorrow (1983) and Anna to the Infinite Power (1983), as well as The Night Train to Kathmandu (1988). He also worked on the children's series The Big Blue Marble and episodes of Superboy and SeaQuest DSV.
Wiemer collaborated with Rick Berman on documentaries and The Big Blue Marble before his Star Trek work.
