Biography
Sally Caves is the pen name of Sarah Higley, an American science fiction writer and professor of English at the University of Rochester. She holds a PhD in medieval languages and literature, and teaches medieval literature, cultural studies, science fiction and creative writing.
Caves wrote the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Hollow Pursuits" (1990), which introduced the character Reginald Barclay. She co-authored the story for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Babel" (1993). She is also the creator of Teonaht, a constructed language.
