Biography
Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL, is a Dutch composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Born in Lichtenvoorde, he began his career in electronic music and industrial rock before transitioning to film scoring. He has worked with Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions and is known for blending orchestral, electronic and rock elements.
His film scores include Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Deadpool (2016), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) and its sequels, Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024), Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024) and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). He also scored Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (2023).
