Biography
Yul Vazquez is a Cuban-American actor and musician. Born in Havana, Cuba, on 18 March 1965, he moved to the United States with his family in 1971 and grew up in Miami. He began his career in the 1980s as a guitarist in rock bands before transitioning to acting.
Vazquez has appeared in numerous films, including Traffic (2000), Bad Boys II (2003), War of the Worlds (2005), American Gangster (2007), The A-Team (2010) and Captain Phillips (2013), in which he played Captain Frank Castellano. On television he has had roles in Severance (2022–2025) and Russian Doll (2019). He is an original member of the LAByrinth Theater Company and has served as one of its co-artistic directors. He is married to actress Linda Larkin.
