Biography

Ben Davis is a British cinematographer. He began his career at Samuelsons Camera House, later part of Panavision, working as a clapper loader, focus puller and camera operator on feature films and commercials, including with Billy Williams, Douglas Slocombe and Roger Deakins. He started shooting commercials before his first major feature as cinematographer, Miranda (2002).

Davis has worked extensively with director Matthew Vaughn on films including Layer Cake (2004), Stardust (2007), Kick-Ass (2010) and The King's Man (2021), and with Martin McDonagh on Seven Psychopaths (2012), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). His credits include several Marvel Studios productions such as Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Doctor Strange (2016), Captain Marvel (2019) and Eternals (2021), as well as Wicked Little Letters (2024) and Kraven the Hunter (2024).

His father was cinematographer Michael J. Davis. He is married to writer and director Camille Griffin; their son is actor Roman Griffin Davis.
