Biography
Chris Dickens is a British film and television editor. He graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 1990 after attending Hailsham Community College.
He began his career in television, working on the series Spaced with director Edgar Wright, before editing Wright's feature debut Shaun of the Dead (2004). He later collaborated with Wright again on Hot Fuzz (2007).
Dickens won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and the American Cinema Editors Award for Best Edited Feature Film – Dramatic for his work on Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Other credits include Seed of Chucky (2004), Paul (2011), Les Misérables (2012), Macbeth (2015), Mary Queen of Scots (2018) and Rocketman (2019).
