Biography
Jack Warden was an American actor who appeared in film and television from the 1950s until 2000. Born John Warden Lebzelter Jr. on 18 September 1920 in Newark, New Jersey, he died on 19 July 2006 in New York City.
His breakthrough film role was as Juror No. 7 in 12 Angry Men (1957). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for Shampoo (1975) and Heaven Can Wait (1978), and won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the television film Brian's Song (1971). Other notable credits include All the President's Men (1976), Being There (1979) and The Verdict (1982).
Warden began his career on stage, making his Broadway debut in a 1952 revival of Golden Boy, and appeared in numerous television series including Mister Peepers (1952–1955) and The Twilight Zone.
