Biography
James Remar is an American actor, also credited as William James Remar. He played Butch Pooch and Ace Speck in the film Django Unchained (2012) and voiced Zeta Prime in Transformers One (2024).
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Remar trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. His film roles include Ajax in The Warriors (1979), Albert Ganz in 48 Hrs. (1982) and Larousse in Ratatouille (2007). On television he has appeared as Richard Wright in Sex and the City (2001–2004) and Harry Morgan in Dexter (2006–2013). He has been married to Atsuko Remar since 1984.
