Biography
James W. Skotchdopole is an American film producer and production manager. Raised in New York, he began working in the film industry in 1982 and became the youngest member of the Directors Guild of America in 1984.
He has held producer, executive producer and unit production manager credits on numerous films. These include Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and The Revenant (2015), both directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu; Django Unchained (2012) for Quentin Tarantino; and several films for Tony Scott, among them True Romance (1993), Enemy of the State (1998) and Man on Fire (2004). He also collaborated with Nora Ephron on three projects.
As a producer on Birdman, Skotchdopole shared in the Academy Award for Best Picture. He has worked on more than fifty feature films across seventeen countries.
