Biography
John Conroy is an Irish cinematographer. Born on 26 January 1969, he began working in the camera department as a teenager and progressed through roles including clapper loader and focus puller on features such as Braveheart (1995), The Da Vinci Code (2006) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).
He has served as director of photography on series including Luther (2010–), Penny Dreadful (2014–2016), Westworld (2016–), Wednesday (2022–) and Fallout (2024–). Conroy is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Irish Society of Cinematographers. His father, Jack Conroy, was also a cinematographer.
