Biography

Matthew Earl Beesley is an American film and television director. He worked as an assistant director on films from the mid-1980s onwards, including National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), The Beverly Hillbillies (1993), Chain Reaction (1996) and Braveheart (1995). His feature directorial debut was the 1998 film Point Blank.

Beesley has directed episodes of television series including Lost (2004), Prison Break (2005), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds, The Closer, Hawaii Five-0 and Chicago Fire.
