Biography
Michael Shamberg is an American film producer. He began his career as a Time–Life correspondent and co-founded the video collective TVTV in the early 1970s. He later moved into feature-film production and co-founded Jersey Films with Danny DeVito and Stacey Sher; he has also worked through Double Feature Films with Sher.
His producing credits include Out of Sight (1998), Erin Brockovich (2000) and Contagion (2011). He served as executive producer on Pulp Fiction (1994) and Django Unchained (2012). Other films include The Big Chill (1983), A Fish Called Wanda (1988), Gattaca (1997), Man on the Moon (1999) and World Trade Center (2006). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture for The Big Chill and Erin Brockovich.
