Biography
Stacey Sher is an American film producer. Born on 30 November 1962 in New York City, she trained at the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program.
She began her career in development at Hill/Obst Productions before joining Jersey Films, where she worked with Danny DeVito and Michael Shamberg. Sher has produced films including Pulp Fiction (1994), Gattaca (1997), Erin Brockovich (2000), Contagion (2011), Django Unchained (2012), The Hateful Eight (2015) and Heretic (2024). She has collaborated repeatedly with directors Quentin Tarantino and Steven Soderbergh.
Sher has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, for Erin Brockovich and Django Unchained. Her production company is Shiny Penny Productions.
