Biography
Tony Burton was an American actor and former professional boxer. Born in Flint, Michigan, he won Michigan Golden Gloves light heavyweight titles in 1955 and 1957 before a brief professional boxing career.
He is best known for playing trainer Tony "Duke" Evers in the Rocky film series, appearing in all six films from Rocky (1976) to Rocky Balboa (2006). Burton also played Durkin in The Shining (1980), Wells in Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), and Bill Jukes in Hook (1991).
His other credits include guest roles in television series such as Twin Peaks (1990).
