Biography
Adrian Biddle (20 July 1952 – 7 December 2005) was an English cinematographer. As a talented swimmer in his youth, he worked uncredited as an underwater photographer on On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) and Murphy's War (1971). He later joined Ridley Scott's advertising company, working on commercials, and served as a focus puller on Alien (1979).
Biddle's first feature as director of photography was Aliens (1986). He went on to photograph over twenty films, including The Princess Bride (1987), Thelma & Louise (1991), 101 Dalmatians (1996), Event Horizon (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001) and V for Vendetta (2006). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography for Thelma & Louise. Biddle died of a heart attack in London.
