Biography
Bob Ringwood is a British costume designer born on 25 November 1946 in London. He trained at the Central School of Art and Design and worked for fourteen years in theatre, including West End productions, before moving into film.
His film credits include costume design for Excalibur (1981), Dune (1984), Empire of the Sun (1987), Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Alien 3 (1992), Batman Forever (1995), Alien Resurrection (1997), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) and Troy (2004). He shared design duties on some of the Batman films and retired after 2004.
Ringwood received Academy Award nominations for Empire of the Sun and Troy, and BAFTA Award nominations for Excalibur, Empire of the Sun and Batman. He also won Saturn Awards for Excalibur and Dune.
