Biography

Haris Zambarloukos is a Greek-Cypriot cinematographer. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 11 March 1970, he obtained a BFA from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and an MFA in cinematography from the AFI Conservatory in 1997. He began his career working as a camera intern under Conrad L. Hall on A Civil Action (1998).

Zambarloukos has collaborated frequently with director Kenneth Branagh on films including Sleuth (2007), Thor (2011), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), Artemis Fowl (2020), Belfast (2021), Death on the Nile (2022) and A Haunting in Venice (2023). Other credits include Mamma Mia! (2008), Cinderella (2015) and Meg 2: The Trench (2023). He worked with Tim Burton on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024).

In 2006 he was named one of Variety's "10 Cinematographers to Watch". He is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers, serving on its Board of Governors, and of the Greek Society of Cinematographers.
