Biography
Jason Watkins is an English actor. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career on stage, including work with the National Theatre and a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
On television he is known for the lead role in the 2014 drama The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, for which he won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actor, as well as appearances in Being Human, Trollied, W1A and as Harold Wilson in The Crown. Film credits include Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) and The Golden Compass (2007). He is married to jewellery designer Clara Francis.
