Biography
John Sloss is an American entertainment lawyer, film sales agent, manager and producer. Born in 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, he studied at the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School before entering entertainment law.
He founded Cinetic Media in 2001 and has facilitated the sale or financing of hundreds of independent films. Sloss has produced or executive produced more than 50 films, including Boyhood (2014), Green Book (2018), Boys Don't Cry (1999) and The Fog of War (2003). He has frequently collaborated with director Richard Linklater on projects such as the Before trilogy and Blue Moon (2025).
