Biography
Léa Seydoux is a French actress. She was born on 1 July 1985 in Paris and began her career in French cinema with roles in The Last Mistress (2007) and On War (2008). She received César Award nominations for The Beautiful Person (2008) and Belle Épine (2010).
Seydoux gained wider recognition for her performance in Blue Is the Warmest Colour (2013), which shared the Palme d'Or at Cannes. She has appeared in English-language films including Inglourious Basterds (2009), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021). Recent credits include One Fine Morning (2022), The Beast (2024) and Dune: Part Two (2024), in which she played Lady Margot Fenring.
She has received two Lumière Awards, five César nominations, the Chopard Trophy in 2009, and was appointed a Dame of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2016 and of the National Order of Merit in 2022. She comes from a family with ties to the French film industry.
