Biography
Michael Kenneth Williams (1966–2021) was an American actor. He played Omar Little in the HBO series The Wire (2002–2008) and Albert "Chalky" White in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014).
Williams was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised in the Vanderveer Projects in East Flatbush. He attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School and later enrolled at the National Black Theatre in New York City. He began his career as a dancer, appearing in music videos for artists including Madonna and George Michael, before transitioning to acting.
