Biography
Rebecca Eaton is an American television producer. She has been executive producer of the PBS series Masterpiece since 1985.
Born in Boston in 1947 and raised in Pasadena, California, Eaton studied English literature at Vassar College. She worked at WGBH in Boston from 1972 before taking the Masterpiece role. Her credits as executive producer include Sherlock (2010), Downton Abbey (2010), Poldark (2015), Victoria (2016) and The Durrells (2016).
Eaton received an OBE and multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. She stepped back from day-to-day duties at Masterpiece in 2019.
