Biography
Zac Nicholson is a British cinematographer. Born in London in 1971, he studied at Central Saint Martins and Sheffield Polytechnic. He began in the camera department as an assistant before working as an operator on films including The King's Speech (2010) and Les Misérables (2012).
Nicholson became director of photography on episodes of Black Mirror (2011) and the series The Honourable Woman (2014), for which he received BAFTA and RTS nominations. His feature credits as cinematographer include The Death of Stalin (2017), The Personal History of David Copperfield (2019), One Life (2023) and The Magic Faraway Tree (2026). He is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers.
