Biography
Jason Isaacs is an English actor. Born in Liverpool on 6 June 1963, he studied law at the University of Bristol before training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He began working professionally in 1988.
He is known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series (2002–2011), Colonel William Tavington in The Patriot (2000), and Captain Gabriel Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2018). His television work includes Dr Hap in The OA (2016–2019) and Timothy Ratliff in The White Lotus (2025). Isaacs has received nominations for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Television Award.
