Biography
Allen Coulter is an American television and film director. Born on 21 March 1969 in College Station, Texas, he studied theatre direction at the University of Texas and later moved to New York to pursue his career.
He directed 12 episodes of The Sopranos (1999–2007), as well as episodes of Six Feet Under (2001–2005) and The X-Files (1993). His other television credits include episodes of Sex and the City, Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards and Sons of Anarchy. Coulter also directed the feature films Hollywoodland (2006) and Remember Me (2010).
He served as a producer on the first two seasons of The Sopranos and received multiple Emmy and Directors Guild of America nominations for his directing and producing work.
