Biography

Atticus Ross is an English composer, musician, record producer and audio engineer. Born on 16 January 1968 in Ladbroke Grove, London, he first collaborated with Trent Reznor on the Tapeworm project in 2002. He joined Nine Inch Nails as a programmer and producer in 2005 and became the band's only other official member in 2016.

Ross and Reznor have composed numerous film and television scores together. Their work includes The Social Network (2010), for which they won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), Gone Girl (2014), Soul (2020, also with Jon Batiste), The Killer (2023), Challengers (2024) and Queer (2024). They scored TRON: Ares (2025) under the Nine Inch Nails name. Ross was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Nine Inch Nails in 2020.
