Biography

Christine Langan is a British film and television producer. She began her career as a script editor at Granada Television before producing drama series including Cold Feet (1997–2000). Her early feature credits include Pierrepoint (2005) and The Queen (2006), the latter made for Granada and co-produced with Andy Harries.

Langan joined BBC Films as an executive producer in 2006, later becoming creative director. She has served as executive producer on numerous films, among them The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008), The Duchess (2008), We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011), Jane Eyre (2011), Philomena (2013), Saving Mr. Banks (2013), Brooklyn (2015) and Mr. Holmes (2015). She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for The Queen, which also won the BAFTA Award for Best Film. Langan is an Honorary Associate of the London Film School.
