Biography

Darius Khondji is an Iranian-French cinematographer. He was born on 21 October 1955 in Tehran, Iran.

He has worked as director of photography on films including Se7en (1995), Alien Resurrection (1997), The Ninth Gate (1999), Panic Room (2002), Midnight in Paris (2011), Okja (2017), Uncut Gems (2019), Mickey 17 (2025), Eddington (2025) and Marty Supreme (2025). Khondji has collaborated with directors such as David Fincher, Bong Joon-ho, Woody Allen, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Ari Aster.

He has received two Academy Award nominations for cinematography, as well as a BAFTA Award nomination and three César Award nominations.
