Biography
Dylan Tichenor (born 1968) is an American film editor. He is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
Tichenor graduated from Philadelphia's Greene Street Friends School in 1982 and Central High School in 1986. He began his career as an apprentice and assistant editor to Geraldine Peroni on several Robert Altman films, including The Player (1992). His first credit as editor was on Altman's Jazz '34 (1996).
He has collaborated extensively with director Paul Thomas Anderson, editing Boogie Nights (1997), Magnolia (1999) and There Will Be Blood (2007), among others. Tichenor stepped in to complete editing on Brokeback Mountain (2005) following Peroni's death. His credits also include Unbreakable (2000), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), The Town (2010), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Eternals (2021) and The Bride! (2026). He has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing.
