Biography

Jennifer Lame is an American film editor. She graduated from Wesleyan University in 2004 after attending Episcopal Academy. She began editing feature films with Price Check (2012) and has become a frequent collaborator with directors including Noah Baumbach, on films such as Frances Ha (2012), While We're Young (2014), Mistress America (2015), The Meyerowitz Stories (2017) and Marriage Story (2019).

Lame edited Manchester by the Sea (2016), Hereditary (2018), Midsommar (2019), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020), Oppenheimer (2023) and The Odyssey (2026). She won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for Oppenheimer in 2024, as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Editing.

She is married to film producer Craig Shilowich.
