Biography
Jim Thomas, also credited as James E. Thomas or James Thomas, is an American screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his collaborations with his brother John Thomas.
In 1983 Thomas originated the concept that became the film Predator (1987), which the brothers developed into a screenplay; they later wrote Predator 2 (1990). Their other credits include the story for Wild Wild West (1999) and Behind Enemy Lines (2001), as well as the television series Hard Time on Planet Earth (1989), which they created. Thomas has also worked as an executive producer on several Predator franchise entries.
Born in Needles, California and raised in Bakersfield, Thomas previously worked as a teacher, lifeguard and in other roles before entering screenwriting.
