Biography
John C. Thomas is an American screenwriter. He has frequently collaborated with his brother Jim Thomas on screenplays and story credits.
Their first major work was the screenplay for Predator (1987), originally titled Hunter. They also wrote Predator 2 (1990) and contributed to Executive Decision (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Mission to Mars (2000) and Behind Enemy Lines (2001). The brothers created the short-lived television series Hard Time on Planet Earth (1989).
Thomas was born in Needles, California, and raised in Bakersfield. Before becoming a screenwriter he worked as a lifeguard, teacher, ditch digger and carpenter.
