Biography
Laraine Newman is an American actress, comedian and voice actress. She was a founding member of the Groundlings improv group in Los Angeles and studied mime with Marcel Marceau. Newman was one of the original cast members of the NBC sketch series Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1975 to 1980.
She has provided additional voices for numerous Pixar films, including Finding Nemo (2003), WALL·E (2008), Up (2009), Toy Story 3 (2010), Inside Out (2015) and others. Newman appeared as The Director in an episode of the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). In 2017 the original Saturday Night Live cast, including Newman, was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.
