Fonda made his Hollywood debut in 1935. He is known for roles including Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Wyatt Earp in My Darling Clementine (1946), Juror 8 in 12 Angry Men (1957), and Norman Thayer Jr. in On Golden Pond (1981). He also served as producer on 12 Angry Men.
