Biography

Mark Friedberg is an American production designer. He has worked on films including Joker (2019), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), The Darjeeling Limited (2007), If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), The Whale (2022), Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) and Mufasa: The Lion King (2024). He also served as executive producer on Joker: Folie à Deux.

A New York City native, Friedberg has collaborated repeatedly with directors including Wes Anderson, Todd Phillips, Barry Jenkins and Darren Aronofsky. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for the television miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011) and a BAFTA nomination for Joker.
