Biography
Michael E. Uslan is an American lawyer and film producer. With Benjamin Melniker, he acquired the film rights to Batman from DC Comics in 1979. He has served as executive producer on every Warner Bros. Batman film and related project since Tim Burton’s Batman (1989), including Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993), for which he is credited as producer.
Uslan was the first instructor to teach an accredited university course on comic books, at Indiana University in the early 1970s. He is also known for executive producer credits on films such as The Dark Knight (2008), Joker (2019) and The Batman (2022).
