Biography
David Barron is a British film producer. Born on 21 February 1954 in Ipsden, South Oxfordshire, he began his career in commercials before moving into television and film, working as a location manager, assistant director, production manager and production supervisor on titles including The French Lieutenant's Woman, The Killing Fields and The Princess Bride.
He produced several films directed by or starring Kenneth Branagh, among them In the Bleak Midwinter (1995), Hamlet (1996) and Love's Labour's Lost (2000). Barron is best known for his work on the Harry Potter series, serving as executive producer or producer on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011), as well as later films such as Cinderella (2015) and The Legend of Tarzan (2016). He has received a BAFTA Award.
