Biography
Mark Day is a British film editor. He has worked extensively with director David Yates on television projects including State of Play, Sex Traffic, The Way We Live Now, The Young Visiters, The Girl in the Café and The Sins, as well as the final four Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011).
Day has edited other feature films including Ex Machina (2015), About Time (2013), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), The Legend of Tarzan (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), Downton Abbey (2019), Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022) and Pain Hustlers (2023). He edited Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025). He won two BAFTA Television Craft Awards for Best Editing for State of Play and Sex Traffic, and received further BAFTA, Royal Television Society and Primetime Emmy nominations for his television work.
