Biography
Nicholas Hoult is an English actor. Born in Wokingham, Berkshire, he began acting as a child and made his feature debut in Intimate Relations (1996). He gained early notice as Marcus in About a Boy (2002) and played Tony Stonem in the series Skins (2007–2008).
Hoult is known for roles including Hank McCoy / Beast in the X-Men films (2011–2019), Nux in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Renfield in Renfield (2023), Thomas Hutter in Nosferatu (2024), Robert Jay Mathews in The Order (2024), Justin Kemp in Juror #2 (2024), and Lex Luthor in Superman (2025). He has received BAFTA, Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award nominations. His great-aunt was actress Anna Neagle.
