Biography
Steven Meizler is a cinematographer. He began his career as a camera assistant and first assistant camera, working with Janusz Kamiński on films including Schindler's List (1993), Jerry Maguire (1996), Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Minority Report (2002), and with Steven Soderbergh on titles such as Ocean's Twelve (2004), Contagion (2011) and Magic Mike (2012).
Meizler moved into director of photography roles with the series The Girlfriend Experience (2016). Subsequent credits include the miniseries Godless (2017) and The Queen's Gambit (2020). For the latter he received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and an ASC Award. Other work includes The OA (2019) and White House Plumbers (2023).
