Biography
Takeshi Seyama (瀬山 武司) is a Japanese film editor born in Tokyo in 1944. He has edited numerous anime films and series, working extensively with Studio Ghibli as well as directors Katsuhiro Otomo and Satoshi Kon.
His credits include Spirited Away (2001), Princess Mononoke (1997), Howl's Moving Castle (2004), Ponyo (2008), The Wind Rises (2013) and The Boy and the Heron (2023). He also edited Akira (1988) and Paprika (2006). In 1992 he founded the Seyama Editing Room, which specialises in anime editing. Earlier in his career he worked on television series such as Heidi, Girl of the Alps (1974).
