Biography
Edward Norton is an American actor and filmmaker. Born on 18 August 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, he graduated from Yale College with a degree in history in 1991. He gained recognition for his debut role in Primal Fear (1996), for which he received a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Norton earned a further Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for American History X (1998). He is also known for Fight Club (1999), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in Birdman and as Pete Seeger in A Complete Unknown (2024). Norton has directed and produced several films through his company Class 5 Films, including Motherless Brooklyn (2019). He played Conrad Earp in Asteroid City (2023).
