Biography

Howard Cummings is an American production designer. Born on 16 February 1954 in Kern County, California, he has worked extensively in film and television.

He has collaborated frequently with director Steven Soderbergh, serving as production designer on Contagion (2011), Haywire (2011), Magic Mike (2012), Side Effects (2013), Behind the Candelabra (2013), Logan Lucky (2017) and The Laundromat (2019). Other credits include The Underneath (1995) and the series Fallout (2024).

Cummings won two Primetime Emmy Awards and received a BAFTA nomination for his work on Behind the Candelabra. He has also designed for Westworld and earlier films such as The Usual Suspects (1995).
