Biography

Liam Neeson is a Northern Irish actor. Born William John Neeson on 7 June 1952 in Ballymena, County Antrim, he studied at Queen's University Belfast before training at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. He made his screen debut in the late 1970s and gained early film roles in the 1980s.

He is known for Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List (1993), Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) and its sequels, Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins (2005), and Bryan Mills in Taken (2008). He played Frank Drebin Jr. in The Naked Gun (2025). Neeson received Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for Schindler's List and has appeared in many other films and voice roles.
